Tips & tools from someone working in social media marketing

Adobe Lightroom: I cannot live without this app! At first, it can be overwhelming for beginners, so take it slow and use photos that don’t need significant edits while you become more familiar with navigating with the basics. For example, an image that is highly overexposed.

Tezza App: Though I have been much more into enhancing the natural colors in a photo lately, this app is my tried and true. Tezza Barton has been an inspiration since before I decided to start blogging. She is a long-time creator and photographer, and with the help of her husband Cole, she developed this app that works fantastic for beginners. Before Adobe Lightroom, this was my #1 go-to for my blog photos and videos. It is excellent for pre-sets and has remarkable effects such as stop motion, glitter, prisms, and more.

Any planning app: I love using the app Preview. When I am unsure of the following posts for my feed or if I want to make sure a picture will fit the 1:1 aspect ratio on Instagram, I use this.

Now, I know some might not have the budget to cover an expense such as this. But most planning apps do have a free or trial version for up to a month. Which helps determine the best value to be able to move forward. Depending on the one you choose to use, you can even schedule in-feed posts, IG stories, tweets to post automatically.

In Shot: This is my go-to video editor app for the basics. It can create reels or IG stories with ease.

Snaptik: Hate when your TikTok video has a watermark on it? This website will take care of that. Plain and simple.

I hope you found these tips and tools helpful!
