With all the craziness of this year, I can say one of the better parts is my blog turning 1. Funny enough, my blog was live for a while before I even shared my first post. It took a weekend vacation in Orlando with some of my friends to decide it was time to post about it on Instagram.
I remember how I kept thinking, “what if no one likes it? What if no one ever reads it? What if I can’t keep up with it the way I would want to?” Well, I am glad for my friends because here we are.
I hit a lot of the milestones I didn’t think I would. Worked with different brands, got nominated for the South Florida Blogger Awards in January 2020. And I was right; I did get busy, and sometimes I wasn’t inspired to post or write. And that was okay too.
My blogger friend Michelle Zavala shared this posted on her IG the other day about “silent fans.” It was directed towards creators, but I wanted to address here too. Those people who love your content and might never say anything to you directly. I thought this was important to bring up because these kinds of people are the ones that are important to thank. See, some people will tell you they liked a certain post, picture, IG story. Or maybe when they see you, they will mention it. And some people aren’t genuine about it, but a majority of your supporters may never say a word to you.
So for anyone still reading and genuinely enjoying my content, thank you, it means the world whether you tell me directly or don’t. Here’s the start of year two.
