I got a few requests to share the recipe for this new trend in coffee. It’s known as a tik tok coffee or more professionally known as Dalonga coffee. Its origins stem from places such as India, and Pakistan and it is often referred to as whipped coffee
- 2 Tablespoons of Instant Coffee ( I use and prefer Cafe Bustelo)
- 2 Tablespoons of hot water
- 2 Tablespoons of sugar or sweetener ( i prefer the latter)
- Whisk or hand mixer
- Glass with ice and your choice of milk
To make this, coffee is pretty simple. Take a bowl and put all the ingredients together. The next step is to whisk all the ingredients until it turns into a light, fluffy mixture. You will know its ready when it looks like the picture below.
Now, I tried at first to whisk it, but that takes way too long and is a serious workout. If you have a hand mixer, use that. I promise it will be worth it. Once you are done mixing, just put ice in a cup, pour milk over it, and scoop out the foam. If you want to add flavor, I suggest a caramel or mocha syrup like the one here from Amazon. I added a touch of sugar-free caramel syrup, and it thinks it made all the difference. If you try this recipe out let me know in the comments below if you liked it!
