My co-workers were recently talking about getting lip filler, and while I believe in doing whatever makes you happy, I also believe in avoiding a costly procedure whenever possible.
Here’s what you will need:
- Lip scrub ( either DIY or name brand), a quick recipe I have used for years is honey and sugar.
- Lip balm
- Lip liner
- (optional) lip oil
Step 1: Use a lip scrub to remove all the dead skin cells
Step 2: Wipe off the lip scrub
Step 3: Apply lip balm, wait about a least 30 seconds. Ideally, the more the product can settle in, the better
Step 4: Grab a lip liner. Start with the bottom lip and overline the middle. The key with overlining is to start small and build if needed. Keep the ends and sides normal, though, so that you don’t overdo it.
Step 5: Next, move to the top lip and overline the cupid’s bow. You are repeating the same strategy.
Step 6: Usually, I use lip liner all over and decide to apply other lip products on top dependent on my mood. Today I went for a lip oil to just hydrate my lips some more.
