Redken Heatcure Treatment

Two weeks ago, I went to Ulta to get two treatments; one was a clear gloss, and the other was one for frizzy, damaged hair. Redken’s Heatcure treatment isn’t like anything I have ever tried before. It is a heat-activated formula that features a combination of proteins, including arginine, soy, wheat, and palm oils, to name a few.

The process is simple. After the stylist shampoos your hair, he or she will bring you back to their chair and begin to coat the hair with the treatment. Once all the hair is completely covered, it is split at about one-inch sections. And then, each part is passed through a tool that looks like a hair iron. This method activates the formula and helps it better penetrate the hair shaft. Then they wash it out and style. It is pretty simple and doesn’t take that long, which says a lot coming from someone with long thick hair. It’s supposed to last about ten washes or two months, whatever comes first. This treatment is suitable for all hair types, including fine-medium, the course even curly.

When you first get the treatment, you are going to be in love, but what made me get this for the second time in over a year was the results post blowout. My hair dries frizzy, and I usually try to let it air dry to avoid more damage than just my wand or iron. I notice a significance in how my hair looks when I style it myself post-treatment. Which, to me, makes this worth it. My hair looks less frizzy and dry even with no heat applied at all. That’s huge because if I want no frizz I have to either apply heat, wear my hair in a bun, or wear it in a dutch braid.

While working on the post, I discovered they have self-treatments at home from the same line. I think I am going to try that next to see if I find a similar result based on the reviews I have seen. 100% recommend this treatment you can find a local salon that is Redken certified or visit an Ulta Beauty.
